Privacy Policy
TradingView MT5 Bridge (Chrome extension and Windows app). Last updated: 26 October 2026.
Summary
We do not collect, receive, store or sell any of your data. The extension and the Bridge app work only on your own computer.
What the software handles, and where it stays
- MetaTrader 5 login details (terminal path, login number, server, password): sent from the extension only to the Bridge app on your own PC (address
127.0.0.1). The password is saved on your PC with Windows encryption (DPAPI), so only your Windows user account can read it. It is never sent back to the browser. - Trading data (prices, positions, orders, balances): read from your MT5 terminals by the Bridge and shown in the panel. It is not sent anywhere else.
- Panel settings (lot sizes, account groups, layout, theme): saved in the extension's own Chrome storage on your computer.
- Pairing token: a random key the extension and the Bridge use to recognise each other, stored on your computer.
What we do not do
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or telemetry.
- No accounts on our side and no servers that receive your data.
- No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
Website access
The extension runs only on tradingview.com chart pages, to show the trading panel and read the chart's symbol and price levels. It connects only to the Bridge app at 127.0.0.1:8765 on your computer.
Third parties
Your trades are sent by your own MetaTrader 5 terminal to your broker, under your broker's terms and privacy policy. TradingView's own terms apply to your use of tradingview.com.
Removing your data
Remove an account in the panel to delete its saved password. Removing the extension deletes the panel settings. Uninstalling the Bridge app keeps its saved accounts in %LOCALAPPDATA%\TradingViewMT5Bridge so a reinstall keeps working; delete that folder to remove them completely.
